The Superior High School golf team competed at the Cyndi Peil Scramble hosted by Blue Hill High School last Tuesday. The match was played over the Red Cloud Golf Course.
Teams from Lawrence-Nelson, Deshler, Heartland, Exeter-Milligan-Freeman, Red Cloud, Blue Hill, Bruning-Davenport-Shickley, Silver Lake and Heartland Lutheran participated.
Superior did not post a team score.
In the scramble format, golfers alternate their best shot. This was an 18-hole event where three twosomes were needed for a team score.
Colten Butler and Carsyn Koening had a round of 74. Ayron Grassman and Cooper Ehlers carded a round of 91.
The Wildcats compete at the Southern Nebraska Conference match today (Thursday). The event is being hosted by Sutton High School and being played over the Fox Hollow Country Club course.
