Rock Hills HS track teams divide up for Tescott an Beloit meets

The Rock Hills High School boys and girls track and field teams divided their members between two meets. Several athletes competed at the Tescott Junior Varsity Invitational last Tuesday while others competed at the Beloit Relays Friday.

Eli Whelchel and Kaden Wurm competed in the boys 100 meter dash at Tescott.

Spencer Lindberg had a third place finish in the 400 meter dash. He finished in sixth place in the 300 meter hurdles.

Wurm competed in the discus throw.

Whelchel took third place in the javelin with Wurm taking sixth place.

Whelchel was third in the shot put. Wurm did not place in the points.

Bethany Simmelink secured fifth place in the girls 100 meter dash at beloit with her time of 13.57 seconds. Halle Mizner and Grace Ayers ran preliminary heats but failed to advance.

B. Simmelink claimed third place in the 200 meter dash with her time of 27.51 seconds.

Savannah Coil picked up sixth place in the 400 meter dash with her time of 1:07.85.

Hannah Simmelink and Alivia Lindberg competed in the 800 and 1600 meter runs.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Mizner, Coil, Ayers and B. Simmelink finished in eighth place with their time of 54.43 seconds.

The 4 x 800 meter relay team of B. Simmelink, Mizner, Lindberg and H. Simmelink established a school record with their time of 10:53.53 for a fifth place finish.

Mizner landed third place in the high jump with her height of 5'.

Ayers competed in the long jump.

Coil sewed up fifth place in the triple jump with her combined distance of 31'9".

Carsyn Vizner and Faith Reinert took part in the javelin throw.

Reinert competed in the shot put.

Isaiah Ridgeway listed a sixth place finish in the boys 100 meter dash at Beloit with his time of 11.99 seconds. Camden Ward ran a preliminary heat.

Cooper McDill finished in seventh place in the 800 meter run with his time of 2:12.85. Justin Luong also competed.

Trystyn Reynolds and Kobi Bowers competed in the 1600 meter run.

The 4 x 800 meter relay team of Reynolds, Luong, McDill and Bowers finished in third place with their time of 8:47.01.

Ward secured fourth place in the high jump.

Nate Meyers claimed second place in the long jump.

Aaron Underwood competed in the discus and shot put events.

The Grizzlies competed at the Tescott Invitational Tuesday. Rock Hills hosts the Grizzly Invitational at Mankato Friday.
