Superior FBLA holds annual honors night

The Superior FBLA Chapter held their tenth annual banquet last Thursday. Sophia Fullerton welcomed the crowd and invited the attendees to a potluck supper.

Once everyone was fed, the 2023-24 officers reviewed the fundraising and community events the chapter helped with this year. This included March of Dimes, Backpack Program, Candy Cane Lane and a blood drive.

Last fall, members sold Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Jordan Duncan, the outstanding seller of the year, sold 42 dozen doughnuts.

The chapter uses a point system. Points are earned by members who participate in various chapter events. Point leaders this year were Jaia Lueking, Jordan Duncan, Sophia Fullerton and Teegan Duncan.

Ashleigh Primus won the STAR Committee Award. This award is given to someone who shows an outstanding commitment to their committee. The volunteer of the year award was presented to Suzanne Duncan for her help with concessions and the Brodstone Harvest Moon Gala.

Each year the FBLA Chapter helps organize and run a Red Cross Blood Drive at the school. Through this service project, they are given the opportunity to present one member with a $250 scholarship. This scholarship was presented to Kyalin Fullerton.

Senior class members who had been in the organization for four years were honored with a certificate. These members were Teegan Duncan, Sophia Fullerton, Nadia McMeen, Lauren Tietjen and Nevaeh Wilhelms.

Sophia Fullerton and Teegan Duncan, 2023-24 co-presidents, presented the farewell.
