SHS track at Deshler

The Superior High School boys and girls track and field teams competed at the Del Wicks Invitational at Deshler High School Thursday.

The girls team took first place, with 113 points, in the nine team field of Deshler, Meridian, Rock Hills, Thayer Central, Exeter-Milligan-Friend, Lawrence-Nelson, Dorchester and Red Cloud. The boys team finished in seventh place with 28 points.

Khloe Mundorf took second place in the girls 100 meter dash with her time of 13.64 seconds. Sadie Cornell followed in third place with the time of 13.66 seconds. Ariana Heusinkvelt was in seventh with the time of 13.94 seconds.

Mundorf added second place points in the 200 meter dash with her time of 28.78 seconds. Ava Kirchhoff was in seventh place with her time of 31.46 seconds. Cornell was in eighth place with the time of 33.63 seconds.

Faith Butler held second place in the 400 meter dash with her time of 1:06.61. Halle Bargen was in eighth place with the time of 1:12.64. Olivia Smullins competed in the event.

Bargen earned second place in the 800 meter run with the time of 2:49.5.

Maddi Bargen was eighth in the 100 meter hurdles with her time of 19.56 seconds. Cora Schnakenberg and Olivia Smullins ran the preliminary heats.

Schnakenberg brought home the fourth place points in the 300 meter hurdles with her time of 57.4 seconds. M. Bargen took sixth place with the time of 58 seconds.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Cornell, Mundorf, Madison Heusinkvelt and Ariana Heusinkvelt earned first place points with their time of 54.38 seconds.

The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Butler, Mundorf, H. Bargen and M. Heusinkvelt grabbed fourth place with their time of 4:43.88.

M. Heusinkvelt was in second place in the shot put with her toss of 38.1.5". A Heusinkvelt closed at fourth place with her distance of 35'7". Lilly Edwards held fifth place with her toss of 33.1.5".

M. Heusinkvelt was in second place in the discus with a throw of 107'. Mia Gardner was in third place with her throw 104'. Reagan Meyers landed seventh place with her throw of 86'9".

Cayce Barry was in seventh place in the high jump at 4'4". Meyers also competed in the vent.

Butler sewed up second place in he pole vault at 8'6".

A. Heusinkvelt recorded a first place finish in the long jump with her leap of 15'4.5". Cornell was third with a distance of 13'9.5". Kirchhoff listed seventh place with her leap of 13'.25".

Kirchhoff secured third place in the triple jump with her combined distance of 29'3".

Dayne Clark finished seventh in the boys 100 meter dash with his time of 112.48 seconds. Tray Blau and Pando Mateus competed in the preliminary heats.

Mateus, Brayton Meyer and Declan Miller competed in the preliminary heats of the 200 meter dash.

Lincoln Sander was in fifth place in the 400 meter dash with his time of 57.59 seconds. Maddox Martin competed also.

Kyler Boyles and Gene Zavala competed in the 800 meter run.

Zavala, Benjamin Kramp and Deylin Lawson competed in the 1600 meter run.

Kramp earned fourth place points in the 3200 meter run with his time of 12:14.88. Lawson was in eighth place with his time of 14:04.8.

Martin took eighth place in the 110 meter hurdles with his time of 20.63 seconds. Thomas Mathis also competed.

Martin competed in the 300 meter hurdles.

The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Sander, Clark, Boyles and Mathis finished in fourth place with their time of 4:08.02.

Boyles claimed third place in the shot put with his toss of 39'7". Mathis and Christian Osweiler also competed in the event.

Clark secured third place in the discus with his throw of 125'2". Declan Miller and Dylan Edwards also participated.

Sander landed third place in the long jump with his leap of 17'5". Meyer and Edwards also took part in the long jump.

Meyer, Mathis and Edwards competed in the triple jump.
