Throwing an iron ball through the air is not as easy as many might imagine. However, Danyelle Church competes in the shot put at the Del Wicks Invitational Track Meet in Deshler last week. Her best throw was just several inches of her best of the season.
The 2024 Spring weather is not conducive for the track events. Those Nebraska winds seem to have an effect on most all events. The L-N Raiders traveled to Deshler last week for the annual Del Wicks Track Meet. They were one of nine schools competing in the meet.
Sydney Biltoft continues a strong season as she brought home two gold medals in the relay events for the girls. Jessica Sole also continues doing well in the distance events scoring high points in both events.
A number of the shorter running events had a notation on the results to show the idea that the performance was affected by the wind.
