Victorian Legacy hosts appreciation supper Sunday

Sunday evening the Victorian Legacy staff assisted by other members of Good Samaritan Society’s Superior staff and members of the Superior Elks Lodge hosted an appreciation supper. Invited guests were members of the Superior Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad and Superior and Nuckolls County law enforcement officers.

The menu included homemade chili and chicken noodle soup, cinnamon rolls and pie.

Staff members and residents expressed their appreciation for the public servants valuable contributions.

Over the years the fire department has responded to many false alarms set off by the society’s fire detection system. Recently one of the calls turned out be real when fire brokeout in the kitchen of the Victorian Legacy.

Damage caused by that fire has been repaired and those attending the meal were able to inspect the facility and receive thanks for their quick response.

The Victorian Legacy staff includes one member of the Superior Rescue Squad, Sherrice Frasier, 19.

As part of the program, comments from the facility’s residents expressing their appreciation to the public servants were read.
