Mankato City Library has just received a gift of 100 new children’s storybooks, ranging from pre-kindergarten through early readers. These books were a donation from the Brownstone Book Fund, a private foundation in New York City, interested in fostering early reading, a love of books and encouraging parents and children to read together. Come to the library to explore and enjoy the new collection!
The next storytime will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 6, on caterpillars in the library. Families of children pre-K to 3rd grade are encouraged to attend. Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible care provider while in the library at all times.
The next adult programs are Practice Being Safe by Brenda Langdon, Post Rock Extension Family Resource and Management agent, at noon on Wednesday, April 3, in the Mankato Community Center.
The next library board meeting will be at 5 p.m., Monday, April 15, in the library.
