It appears the Superior School Board will be tasked with selecting a person to replace the retiring Matt Sullivan as only two incumbents filed for the three positions to be filled this year.
Incumbents Peggy Meyer and Luke Meyer are seeking election for another four-year term. The deadline to file and have the candidate’s name printed on the ballot and the deadline to register as a write-in candidate have passed.
It appears there will be few local races for the voters to decide this year.
An incumbent, Marty Pohlman, is the only candidate to file for the six-year term on the Superior airport authority.
Incumbents Darrell Brandt and Sandra Foote are seeking election to four year terms on the Superior City Council. There will be one city council race in Superior. Both James Flores, the incumbent, and Craig Hale will contest for the same council seat.
Rob Williams, who had filed for a council position, has withdrawn.
The two four-year terms on the Nelson City Council are being contested. Charles Tuttle is not seeking another term. Tammy Frahm did file for reelection. Other filings include David Palmer and George Bruce.
For the Oak Village Board, Richard Lowery and Derrick Drohman filed for reelection, Michael Hinz did not file. Three positions are to be filled.
At Nora, neither Dave Gebers nor Margo Williams filed for reelection to the village board.
Three positions are to be filled on the Hardy board. Incumbents Mary Roberts, Lynda Paulk and Richard Watson did not file. Jasmyn Bar-tholomew and Duane Kelly did file.
At Ruskin, Nathan Brandt and Brock Corman did not file for reelection to the four year term as village trustee. Mark Eggers did file.
Sara Griffis, Terry Cox and Brett Petersen did not file for relection to the Lawrence village board. Larry Mazour is the only person to file as a candidate. Three positions are to be filled.
Lance Williams, Phil Janda and Brian Herbek filed for four year terms on the Lawrence-Nelson school board. Phil Brockman did not file for reelection.
