Superior High School holds career fair
Superior High School held their first career fair in the gymnasium on Monday, Feb. 26, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. School administration proposes to make it an annual event.
Several high school students from Superior, Lawrence-Nelson and Red Cloud schools attended making their way around to the different businesses represented at the rows of tables.
Students appeared eager to learn from the representatives from local businesses. Some high schoolers were prepared with a list of questions to ask vendors.
The exposure to numerous job and career opportunities even within one company gave the youth plenty to contemplate over the next few years.
Businesses represented were: Horizon Bank, Peak Dental, Superior Chamber of Commerce, Home Federal Bank, Akers John Deere, Bryan Health, Duncan Aviation, Nutrien Solutions, United States Army, Merck Animal Health, Williams Funeral Home, United States Air Force, Zoltenko Farms, Inc., Becker & Bouray Auction Service,VanKirk Bros.
