Love my crazy life

Now that it’s warmed up just a bit, Duke is enjoying the snow. I’m surprised he doesn’t have tunnels burrowed in the backyard, as sometimes all I see of him is his rear end sticking up out of the snow drifts. Unfortunately, he doesn’t stay still long enough for me to get a picture. I’m glad he is getting to enjoy it because he is a big boy, with lots of energy and I’m glad to be able to put him outside for some exercise. He was going crazy and taking me along with him from being cooped up in the house.

My birthday week was cold but awesome, I got to do all the things we had planned and I think I am shopped out for a good while. It was nice going to all the stores I typically avoid. I picked up a new purse and another set of sunglasses. A girl can never have too many! We had tacos for lunch and plenty of coffee. It was a dream come true. LOL!

Nothing much has been going on around here, just keeping up with the day-to-day and dreaming of warmer weather. I’d settle for 20 degree weather with little to no wind, but wouldn’t we all? I’m dreaming of pool season, even though just a few short months ago I was glad to be done with it. I miss the kids and the craziness of it all I guess.

I’ve been thinking of starting another house project, but it’s been so cold I didn’t want to go out to the garage to find all the needed supplies. If I can get myself motivated, I have plenty of projects to choose from. The office-spare room needs to be painted, but it was Jacob’s room, and I’m not sure I’m ready to change it up quite yet. I still need to finish painting the master bedroom and the furniture, as I never settled on a color. I also need to gut the upstairs bathroom, and texture and paint the hallway. So many options, it’s hard to choose, LOL!

According to the ten-day forecast, we are going to have a warm-up, thank goodness! This cold has been ridiculous, even for Nebraska. Enjoy it while we have it. I plan to get in the garage and find my tools so I’m not bored the next go-round! X’s & O’s.
