Michael E. Peters, the son of Michael N. Peters and Theo (McCune) Peters, was born Feb. 16, 1940, in rural Beloit, Kansas, and died Dec. 28, 2023, at his home in Formoso, Kansas, at the age of 83.
Mike grew up in Jewell County, attending school in Formoso, and several rural country schools. Following his schooling, he helped his dad with the custom silage business. He and his father were also contracted to help remove the trees before the construction of the Lovewell and Waconda lakes.
