Larry W. Beavers, the son of Jack and Hazel (Runyan) Beavers, was born on Aug. 12, 1951, in Superior, Nebraska. He died Dec. 31, 2023, at his residence near Superior at the age of 72 years, 4 months, 19 days.
Larry attended school in Superior and Geneva, Nebraska. On July 18, 1971, he was united in marriage to Beverly Clabaugh. To this union was born two children, Lisa and Nolan.
Larry enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, bowling and the many activities with his grandchildren. He was retired from the wastewater treatment plant in Superior. He was also a 25-year member of the Superior Volunteer Fire Department.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Hazel Beavers; a half-brother, Clinton Killen; and a half-sister, JoAnn Simmons.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly, of Superior; daughter, Lisa Kluck and husband, Shane, of Aurora, Nebraska; and son, Nolan Beavers and wife, Holly, of Belleville, Kansas; five grandchildren, Trenton Kluck and wife, Violet, Trevor Kluck and friend, Avery Palu, Mackenzie Kluck, Ryan Beavers and Carson Beavers. He is also survived by his half-sister, Wilma Roesti, along with a host of other relatives and many friends.
His funeral was at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024, at Megrue-Price Funeral Home, Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Bonnie Brock officiating.
Music was recording of “Sultans of Swing.”
Pallbearers were Trenton Kluck, Trevor Kluck, Ryan Beavers, Carson Beavers, Jerry Roesti and Steve Roesti. Honorary pallbearers were Mackenzie Kluck, Mike Roesti and Don Shellhase. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Superior, Nebraska. The family requests no flowers. Memorials may go to the Superior Volunteer Fire Department or EMT’s.
