The Superior High School wrestling team faces a busy season opening weekend. The team travels to Hebron for a dual match with Thayer Central Friday. They visit Harvard Saturday to compete at the Harvard Invitational..
The team has a number of young wrestlers with positive potential for the season ahead. Holden McDonald will be in the 126 pound weight bracket. Cooper Laaker fits in the 132 weight set. Jackson Bernal fills the 138 pound weight slot.
KP Morgan, Cooper Benjamin and Cooper Sheely fill out the 144 pound weight bracket.
Lincoln Sander sits at the 150 pound weight mark. Justice Sander is placed at the 157 pound weight bracket.
David Hodges fills the 165 weight slot. Kyler Boyles claims the 175 pound weight slot. Monte Arteaga wrestles at the 190 pound level.
The girls contingent has Cheyenne Stacy competing at 105 pounds. Carlee Hinz comes in at the 135 pound weight class. Grace Martin is in the 170 pound weight class.
Deshler High School is part of the cooperative program with Superior.
Seth Going serves as the head coach. He is assisted by Brent Thomas and Derek Hiatt.
