Niobrara Butler-Johnson Chapter, NSDAR met Nov. 7

Niobrara Butler-Johnson Chapter, NSDAR held their monthly meeting at First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Youth and Family Center, Hastings, last Tuesday. Members prepared Christmas cards and brought donated items for military patients at Landstuhl Military Hospital, Germany. Cards were also prepared to be sent to residents of Central Nebraska Veterans Home. Cyndee Fintel was hostess.

Regent Connie Plettner called the meeting to order. The invocation, officer reports and “Minute” reports were given.

The Patriot Memorial Service was observed.

Nominations were requested for next year officer positions of regent, treasurer and recording secretary. The election of officers must be completed by April 1.

The Chapter’s Christmas party will be held Dec. 5, at Diana Frank’s home. A potluck meal will be shared at noon. A donation will be collected for a nonprofit organization.

The collection of grocery coupons for military families will be discontinued because of lack of coupon inserts and increased use of internet coupons.
