After retiring from the Good Samaritan Home, she and Gail enjoyed traveling with her cousin and her husband to various places around the country. She tried to make it to as many of her grandchildren's school events and sports games as possible. She enjoyed planting flowers and did a fantastic job of taking care of those. She absolutely loved her Nebraska Cornhuskers both football and volleyball. She knew everything about the players and could reel off the stats on every single player. Her family knew better than to interrupt her when she was watching her sports and she rarely missed watching any games.

Most of all she enjoyed being around her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren, the more the merrier. They will always remember going to Grandma's house, the chance to be with all their cousins. Her house was the hub of every holiday get together, the glue that held the big crazy family together. She was always there, no matter what. She also enjoyed visits and phone calls from nieces and nephews.
