Pamela Rice nominated to serve as COC member

Pamela Rice is nominated in LAA1, Jewell County, to serve as COC member for a 3-year term beginning Jan. 1.

Pamela resides in LAA1 on a farm in rural Esbon. She and her husband produce grain crops, but primarily grow feed crops (alfalfa and sorghum forage) for their livestock herd of 200. Pamela, alongside her husband, moved from Dallas, Texas, to Jewell County in 1997 after retiring from the Army and Air Force Exchange Service.

Pamela worked as a program technician in the Jewell County Farm Service Agency from 1999 to 2012. This experience afforded her the opportunity to meet and serve the farmers and their families of Jewell County, and she is familiar with the different FSA programs.

Pamela enjoys cooking and her flower beds, but her main interest has always been helping with the cattle.
