The St. Stephen Council 1906, Knights of Columbus of Lawrence erected and maintained "Pro-Life" signs both east and west of Lawrence for a number of years. They do, however, need some care from time to time.
The council decided to up-date the sign east of Lawrence for the third time. Time and nature had caused the previous sign to fade and it was not as noticeable to the driving public.
Even though the Supreme Court decided there was no such thing as a right to an abortion, such things still take place, and the council wanted to remind the public of the need to end all abortions and that all life is sacred.
Last week five Knights of Columbus members got together to remove the old sign and replace it with a new sign for everyone to see. The men standing below the sign that contributed their work are: Corbin Karmazin, Brandon Karmazin, Tim Karmazin, Seth Kathman and Don Kathman.
