On the road again, but unlike Willie, we aren’t having much fun. Another trip to Omaha to see George’s doctor this time. Ever since his surgery, he has felt like he had a lump in his throat, so it was decided he needed to visit his surgeon again. They stuck the camera up his nose and looked down his throat and everything seems to be healing just fine, so it was decided to wait it out a bit and see if the problem corrects itself. We go back in December.
We got over whatever ick we had. Fingers crossed that being sick for a week means we will stay healthy for the rest of the year. I feel like once was plenty for whatever the heck that was. I hate being sick, and I’m a horrible patient. It’s a good thing I’m my own nurse because no one else would want to take care of me.
I had started cleaning out my closet before my body decided to go on strike.I had piled all my clothes on the bed in the spare room with the intention of thinning the herd. Most everything I own is second hand, purchased from a thrift store or garage sale, with every intention of being put to good use. Most times though, they get hung in the closet never to see the light of day, while I complain about having nothing to wear. Now that I am feeling better, I am really hoping to get through that giant pile, sort them into outfits, and do away with what I don’t need. Knowing myself like I do, I still won’t have a thing to wear. LOL!
Another project we had started only to have to abandon was my garage. I hope to be able to park one car inside this winter, but we have too much junk. So we started sifting through the junk, and wondering why we had ever saved any of it. We had made a good dent in it, and George had started putting a floor down in the rafters before the ick hit us. I’m crossing my fingers and saying my prayers asking that it all gets sorted before we have to move on to something else. It seems like something more important comes up, and we have 100 unfinished projects going on. There is so much to be done, mainly because we never seem to finish anything!
