The Rock Hills High School cross country team competed at the Wamego Invitational hosted by Wamego High School and run over the Wamego Country Club course which hosts the state meet.
There were 21 teams in the men's 3-2-1a varsity race. Rock Hills finished in 17th place with 462 points.
Trystyn Reynolds recorded a time of 20:07.6 for the 5K distance. he finished in 72nd place in the 170 runner field. Kobi Bowers finished with a time of 20:45.8, good for 86th place. Spencer finished in 109th place with his time of 21:24.8. Cruz Navarro held 144th place with his time of 23:44.7. Kiplee Kussman had a time of 23:46.5 for 145th place. The best four individual times comprise the team score.
Hannah Simmelink took 31st place in the girls 3-2-1a girls race. there were 13 teams entered. Simmelink finished with a time of 22:59.2 in the field of 120 runner.
The runners return to competetion Thursday, Sept. 21 at the Republic County Invitational at Belleville.
