Civil War Vet to be buried at Evergreen will be honored
At 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023, members of the Department of Nebraska Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War and perhaps some of the Department of Kansas members will gather at the Evergreen Cemetery - east side to honor the Last Union Veteran of the Civil War to be buried in Nuckolls County. He is Charles Watson who served in Company F of the 13th Indiana Infantry. He died July 28, 1936.
