The Superior High School cross country team hosted the Superior Invitational meet run over the Superior Country Club course last Tuesday.
Runners from Fillmore Central, McCool Junction, Grand Island Central Catholic, Exeter-Millligan-Friend, Hastings St. Cecilia, Silver Lake, Blue Hill, Sandy Creek, Red Cloud, Deshler, Fairbury and Lawrence-Nelson competed.
The Superior boys team finished in fifth place in the eight team boys field with 86 points. Superior had no runners in the female division. There were 70 runners in the boys field while the girls field had 29 entered.
The Superior boys team entered eight runners with the four best times being used to compile the team score.
Brayton Meyer finished in 18th place with his time of 21:07.999 for the 5,000 meter run. Kash Wenske was in 19th place with his time of 21:12.495. Carsyn Koening ran a 21:44.441 race for a 23rd place finish. Ryder Cady took 26th place with his time of 22:09.65. Deylin Lawson finished with a time of 24:34.4. Ryan Kramp posted a time of 24.26. 972. Mason Korb crossed the finish line with a time of 30.44.194. Ayron Grassman was in with a time of 34.24.379.
Superior visits Fairbury today (Thursday) for the Fairbury Invitational. Gun time is 4 p.m.
