The Superior High School cross country team opened their 2023 season with the Superior Invitational held at the Superior Country Club course Tuesday. Meet results were unavailable at press time.
Nelsen Petersen is the new head coach, replacing Ron Hershberger who retired.
Carsyn Koening is the lone senior member of the boys team. Ayron Grassman, Mason Korb, Ryan Kramp, Deylin Lawson and Kash Wenske are the sophomore class members. Ryder Cady and Brayton Meyer are the freshmen team members.
Rebecca Tadeo, a senior, is the lone member of the girls team.
The Wildcat harriers will return to the wilds on Thursday, Sept. 7, when they compete at the Fairbury Invitational.
