Beverly Ann Elliott, 88, died July 24, 2023, at her home in Wichita, Kansas. Beverly was born Dec. 29, 1934, in Beloit, the daughter of Loren Wade and Doris Louise (Thornton) Mahin.
Beverly graduated in 1952 from Randall Rural High School in Randall, Kansas. She started her working career at Boeing in Wichita, Kansas. During her career at Boeing, she filled many different positions in secretarial, data processing and retired as a price-cost analyst in 1994.
Beverly married Charles Elliott on Jan. 4, 1953. They later divorced.
Beverly was a gifted artist in oil painting, watercolors, china painting and silversmithing. She taught china painting for many years in the Wichita area. She was a member of the Kansas Federation of Porcelain Artist, Inc., and Kansas World Organization of China Painters. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, embroidering and needlepoint creating items for family and friends.
Beverly is survived by her sister, Susan (Jim) Hinkhouse, Hays, Kansas; brother, Richard Jay (Vicky) Mahin, Randall, Kansas; and her ex-husband and friend, Charles Elliott, Wichita, Kansas; along with many nieces and nephew.
She was preceeded in death by her parents; a sister, Leota Clawson; and a nephew, Matt Mahin.
A private memorial service will be held for the family. At Beverly's request her ashes will be spread at her childhood homestead at a later date.
