After moving from Superior 23 years ago, Travis and Deb May are back. They wanted to live closer to family and the community.
The Mays had been living in Dodge City and Cimmaron, Kansas, since they last lived in Superior. Recently they purchased Superior Bowl. They had been looking for a change and a way to move closer to their family. Buying the bowling alley allows them to be part of the community, provide a fun place for people to gather in Superior and be near their family.
Travis graduated from Mankato High School. After graduation, he attended Dodge City Community College and was part of the rodeo and football team. Later he was a cowboy for feed yards and ranches in Wyoming for 6 to 7 years and Dodge City after that.
Deb is a graduate of Superior High School. She worked at Agrex for 17 years before moving to Kansas. She worked as a retail sales operations manager for the wireless companies Altel and United Wireless until she retired recently.
In their free time, the couple enjoys riding horses. They have seven horses. Travis likes to participate in team roping. Another interest for them is catering. Travis cooks everything from scratch. One of his specialties is smoked meats. Deb likes to bake and clean. With their interests in cooking, Travis and Deb plan to offer new food options at the bowling alley. They also plan to host special events at the business.
The Mays are excited to be back to Superior and look forward to running their new business.
