Commissioners purchase paddle wagon

Nuckolls County Board

The Nuckolls County Board of commissioners met at the county courthouse in nelson, Monday. All three commissioners were present.

The board approved claims for county departments.

The board approved pledged securities present by Tami Sharp, county treasurer. She reported the county had earned more than $22,000 in interest for the month of July after she negotiated a better interest rate return with Commercial Bank of Nelson.

The commissioners approved a request from the county road department to purchase a 2007 paddle wagon for $121,000. It is a replacement for a wagon which is near the end of its working life.
