“OK folks, I think we have seen it all now . . .”

Every time I think that thought, or read it, I know there is something more coming.

We’ll talk politics for a little here this week. On the national scene.

Seems that Donald Trump may go to prison for removing contested White House files to his home.

So far, Joe Biden seems exempt from just such legal jeopardy.

Mr. Victor Hanson penned those last two statements from the Heritage Foundation. I’ve included them and more of his investigation for this week.

His theme was “2 sets of laws for two Americas.” He pointed out a number of examples of where their just might be different sets of laws for different people.

Examples:

It appears too many that while both Biden and Trump did take files from their work to their homes, Biden’s team strangely revealed the unlawful removals after years of silence. Biden was put in the position of prosecuting the former president for “crimes” that the current president committed as well, earlier and far longer.

It seems Trump is accused of what is called ‘vote tampering.’ What ever happened to Stacey Abrams who claimed for years that she was the ‘real’ governor of Georgia. No charges seemed to have been brought against her.

What about Hillary Clinton as she claimed Trump was an ‘illegitimate’ president and hatched the Russian collusion hoax. Don’t even think about Clinton’s involvement in the death of American diplomat Christopher Stevens in Libya.

Considering the 2016 election where Clinton lost the election, but a lot of Hollywood actors made commercials asking viewers to pressure electors to ignore the voting results and swing their ballots to Hillary Clinton. Sounds a lot like what Trump is being accused of now.

Trump is accused of attempting to erase videos from his own cameras, yet Hillary Clinton eliminated subpoenaed communication devices and thousands of emails.

Two of Trump’s aides and Trump himself are indicted for hindering federal investigators by claiming either amnesia or ignorance. Yet James Comey did that 245 time while under oath before Congress. Other Democratic government leaders admitted they flagrantly lied under oath to Congress or to federal investigators. They were never indicted for their actions.

Many of these details get lost in history and are forgotten, even in this short amount of time. I appreciate Mr. Hanson for putting this all together.

What it all seems to be building up to is a theme that Democrats can do whatever they want and expect to get away with it. Republicans will be called to task.

One of the saddest things about all the above is that it has all built up now to where our current Democratic president is using the full power of the government against his potential opponent in next year’s election.

That is something we have never seen before.

It all gives credit to the ‘feelings’ that somewhat on the state level and especially on the national level, “the Democratic party of today is not the same as the one our parents and grandparents knew.’

There are many people today that are Democrats because their parents and grandparents were and back then many things the Democrats did were actually good. However, Harry Truman and Jack Kennedy are gone and the political party they were operating is not the same one today’s Democratic leader operate.

Now . . . just as I said “I think I’ve seen it all,” something else came up this Monday morning.

Our current president, who has trouble communicating anyway, has just cut 442 ‘News Reporters’ from access to the White House.

I know that it has to be a real problem as to whom gets access to the White House and their press briefings, but . . . this president needs all the help he can get, and cutting himself off from much of the public isn’t the way to do so.

Yes, folks . . . remember two things: No. 1: on the national level, today’s Democratic Party is not the same party it used to be . . . No. 2: “now we’ve seen it all,” isn’t true.

To end this week, a note of hope for the future.

“World Youth Day” was held in Lisbon, Portugal last week. On the final day, 1.5 million people attended the ending Mass conducted by Pope Francis.

To me, that is amazing and gives me great hope for the future.
