Love my crazy life

Once again I have retreated to the front porch to write. Nicky is down for another week, and I am happy to say has made a friend here. The house is full of noise and chaos, and as much as I love that, I need the quiet to concentrate. So I have left George in charge of the boys. Hopefully all survive the experience.

I got more crummy news from the doctor. Apparently I’m not as healthy as I first thought. My cholesterol is through the roof. So I guess it’s time for more drastic changes, although I don’t know where to start. Sugar needs to go, and it would help if I wasn’t a smoker, so I guess I do know where to start, I just need to start. When I do, it’s

probably best for all to avoid me, I’m going to be a grumpy ol’ witch, worse than I am now.

The Mini Cooper continues to be a drama queen. We are guessing oxygen sensors and a fuel filter this week. George keeps saying it’s worth it. I just keep parking it and driving the ol’reliable Ford. I always said I would drive it until the wheels fell off, but I wasn’t serious.

Jacob finished his schooling and got a promotion. He is now a lance corporal. I’m not sure I’m allowed to say what his schooling was for. He is always telling me “if I told ya, I’d have to kill. ya, and I love ya too much to do that!” He should be home in about a week, but for how long, who knows. I’m excited to have him home, even if only for a short time.

Well, that’s all I got for this time. It’s too bad the rain didn’t come in time to help out the crops, but I’m glad it came just the same. I hope it keeps up, so keep praying for rain. X’s & O’s.20
