The second 2023 rendition of Superior’s City-Wide Garage Sale is just more than a week away and the deadline for listing sale locations is much closer.
This newspaper coordinates two city-wide garage sale events each year. The first is on the fourth Saturday of April and the second on the second Saturday of August.
The next issue of The Express will contain a listing of all participating sales and brief descriptions of what to be found. Over the years many thrifty-shoppers have told us they study the ads, and use the map to plan a route of locations they want to visit.
In addition to publishing the advertisements in the newspaper, they are also posted on the web and the event promoted on social media with links to the advertising.
The Express staff appreciates the early submission of advertising orders. The newspaper office will be open until 6 p.m. today and Friday and from 9 to 12 on Saturday. Late advertisements will be accepted until noon on Monday.
In addition to have their sale advertised, those who registered with the newspaper office will receive and official garage sale participant sign to post and their sale location.
As there are often some free loaders who don’t register their location but attempt to benefit from the hundreds of shoppers who are attracted by those who do, we encourage shopping at only those locations that display the participant sign.
