The Lawrence Country Club hosted the 1-Person Scramble on Sunday, July 23. Twenty-nine golfers enjoyed the day.
Winners of the championship flight was Tyson Kotinek shooting a 59. Second place went to Randy Kohmetscher with a 60. Taking third place was Phillip Schroer with a 61 and fourth place went to Alan Jordening with a 62.
In the first flight three golfers scored a 63. Brad Kohmetscher placed first, second went to Greg Pohlmeier and third went to Bob Hofstetter. Dale Kohmetscher took fourth with a score of 64.
The second flight had two golfers placing a 66. Roy Faimon took first and Tim Kohmetscher took second place. Third and fourth place with a score of 68 went to Melissa Cox and Gary Buescher.
The third flight with two players tying with a scoring of 70. First place went to Johnny Himmelberg and second went to Dillon Wolfe. Third and fourth place also with a 2-way tie went to Sam Nejezchleb and Shane Ostdiek with a 73.
Flag prizes were won by Tim Kohmetscher - No. 2 closest to pin on tee shot, Phillip Schroer - No. 3 closest to pin second shot, Peggy Kohmetscher - No. 5 longest putt on green, Melissa Cox - No. 6 closest to pin on tee shot and Sam Nejezchleb - No. 9 longest putt on green.
The events coming up at the Lawrence Golf Course include couples night on Friday, Aug. 4 and Aug. 18. Surf and Turf Tournament with Nelson will be on Aug. 12 and 13. The last tournament in August will be a 2-Ladies Scramble on the 20.
