Paul R. Danley died June 29, 2023, at Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Nebraska. He was born to Earl Leroy and Florence (Drinkwater) Danley on Aug. 28, 1938 in Joplin, Missouri.
Paul attended school in Joplin before relocating to Colorado. He had four children, Judy, Carol, Lissa and Michael. He gained two step-daughters, Michelle and Patty when he married Rose. They later relocated to her hometown of Mankato.
He was a lifelong HVAC technician, owning his own business in Colorado and Missouri.
He was a member of the Shriners and Elks Lodge, and attended the church in Ionia with Rose. He liked to golf and fish, but was most well known for being the Master of Green Chili, winning first prize in many cook-offs.
He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Lissa Danley and Michael Danley; and siblings, Clarence, George, Jerry, Patsy, Mary and Bobby.
He will be remembered by his wife of more than 50 years Rose Danley; daughters, Judy Dicks and Carol Kraber; son-in-law, Danny Dicks; stepdaughters, Michelle Johnson (Bruce), and Patty Segura; grandchildren, Jimmy, Paul, John, Eric, Susan, Randy, Carolanne, Christine, Breanna, Jason and Domonic; brothers, Donald and Allen; and sisters, Shirley and Linda.
Cremation was chosen and a graveside memorial service will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 28, 2023, at Ionia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Shriners' Hospitals for Children. They can be sent in care of the funeral home to 402 N. High Street, Mankato, Kansas 66956.
