Jacqueline Lee Davis, 69, of Kenesaw, Nebraska, died March 22, in Grand Island after a 7-year battle with lymphoma.
She was born on April 22, 1953, in Topeka, Kansas to Clifton Earl and Helen Mae (Beez- ley) Wehrman.
Jackie graduated from Nelson High School in 1971 and attended Kearney State College, graduating with a degree in education. In 1982, Jackie married Tom Davis. She worked as an elementary teacher, an art teacher and a media specialist retiring in 2015. Her career took her to several schools including Elmwood, Fall City, Fairmont, Kearney and Hastings.
While teaching Jackie was a member of Nebraska Educational Media Association and served as a board member. She belonged to the Nebraska Educational Technology Association and ADK.
Jackie is survived by her son, Matthew, and his wife, Victoria; grandchildren, Amelia, Oliver and Evelyne of Lincoln; sisters, Patricia Skinner of Edgar, Deborah and Tom Larson of Minden, Clifton and Peggy Wehrman of Kenesaw; nieces, Rose Wehrman and Victoria Wehrman. She also leaves cats, Loki, Puff and Sweetie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Tom Davis; brothers-in-law, Brian Whiteley, John Melroy and Marc Skinner.
A graveside memorial service was at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2023 from the Nelson Cemetery, with Royce Schott officiating. A luncheon followed at the Nelson Community building.
