Nelson American Legion and Sons of the Legion made final plans for the pancake feed held on Saturday at their meeting held Thursday. Proceeds from the feed are to benefit the building fund to cover needed repairs and replacements.
In other business, plans were made for flag placement on Flag Day and 4th of July, and for the chicken dinner during the Nuckolls County Fair. Attendance at the state convention to be held in Kearney June 23 through 25 was urged.
Auxiliary members reported on the Memorial Day community dinner and on the communication received from Girls State representative, Bailey Ceder. Dues are now considered overdue by the state organization and outstanding renewals are urged in order to remain on state and national rolls.
Friendship Fridays will be continued in the clubhouse and the birthdays of Betty McCutchan and Steph Thayer were celebrated on Friday.
