The Rock Hills High School golf team competed at the state sand greens tournament last Monday.The 18-hole match was played over the Leonardville Golf Course at Riley.
The Grizzlies finished in fifth place, with a team score of 389, in the seven team field of Lakeside, who won their third consecutive state championship, St. John’s, Tipton Catholic, Riley County, Pike Valley and Western Plains.
Garrett Barry led the way for the Rock Hills golfers with a round of 87. Ethan Worth carded a round of 94. Calen Beck put up a round of 103. Nelson Underwood left the course with a round of 105. Davin Coil posted a round of 112.
Jamie Harvey, coach, said farewell to her two seniors, Coil and Barry, who were a steadying influence for the underclassmen.
