4th Degree Knights of Columbus elect new officers

The Bishop Casey Assembly of the 4th Degree of the Knights of Columbus held their quarterly meeting last week Monday in Superior, Nebraska. This Assembly covers a large section of south central Nebraska, including Nuckolls, Webster and Thayer counties among others.

One primary item acted on at the meeting was the election of officers for the coming two years. The new officers include:

Rob Unruh: Faithful Navigator

Dave Wiedel: Faithful Comptroller

Arnold Miller: Faithful Scribe

Kenneth Else: Faithful Admiral

Arnold Schendt: Faithful Captain

Tom Ostdiek: Faithful Pilot

Alan Kenning: Faithful Purser

Steve Anderson: Faithful Inside Guard

      Lane Hawley: Faithful Outside Guard

John Dondlinger, Gary Reinsch, Roger Retzlaff: Trustees

Rev. Harlan Waskowiak: Faithful Friar

Roger Retzlaff, of Hebron, completed a two year term as Faithful Navigator.

In other business, it was announced that the Assembly donated $600 to the St. Gregory the Great Seminar in Seward. This was the proceeds from the Priest Appreciation Dinner.

Faithful Friar, Father Waskowiak will be celebrating his 25th anniversary of his ordination Sunday, June 25, in Geneva.

Bishop Dedinger, of the Grand Island diocese was awarded the ‘Quilt of Valor’ at the KC State Convention in April by the State 4th Degree office.
