Larry Elniff

On May 19, 2023, Larry Wayne Elniff, loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, died at the age of 78. Larry was born on Aug. 8, 1944. to Avery and Bonnie Elniff and raised on the family farm north of Randall, Kansas. He graduated from Randall High School and Brown Mackie Business College in Salina, Kansas.

After graduating college, Larry started his 39 year career in the agricultural cooperative system, serving as general manager for multiple cooperatives across Kansas, Oklahoma and North Dakota. He enjoyed being part of the communities he worked in building life long friendships. Larry had a love of animals, he and his wife Sue raised and showed miniature horses traveling with them all over the United States. This was something he enjoyed sharing with his grandchildren.

In retirement, Larry and Sue sold their farm and began traveling the country in their motor home. As they traveled, they enjoyed being ambassadors for the Fantasy RV Tours. They traveled to 49 states enjoying all the sites. After selling the motor home, they continued to travel seeing the world, with the last trip together being to Israel.

Larry is survived by his wife, Sue; son, Kevin Peters of Staunton, Virginia; daughters, Susanna Stout (Dave) of Hutchinson, Kansas, and Lynette Shelton (Monty) of Tyler, Texas; grandchildren, Clara Wagner, Garrett Rathbun (Maggie), Kole Peters (Maranda) and Kaytlin Peters; and eight great-grandchildren.

He will be missed greatly, and thought of often.

His funeral will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, in Casa Grande, Arizona. His final resting place will be in Randall, Kansas.

The graveside service will be at the Randall Lutheran Cemetery at 1 p.m., June 17, with celebration of life following at Randall Community Center, Randall, Kansas
