L-N track hosts invite

The Sandy Creek High School track was home to the Russ Snyder Invitational sponsored by Lawrence-Nelson High School Thursday.

The Lawrence-Nelson girls finished in seventh place, with 21 points, in the eight team field of Bruning-Davenport-Shickley, Shelton, Meridian, Silver Lake, Kenesaw, Blue Hill and Harvard. The boys were in fourth place with 65 points.

Jessica Sole was in sixth place in the girls 1600 meter run with her time of 7:08.5.

Sole took fourth place in the 3200 meter run with her time of 15:06.84.

Sydney Biltoft picked up first place honors in the 100 meter hurdles with her time of 17.03 seconds.

Biltoft earned the third place points in the 300 meter hurdles with her time of 51.86 seconds.

Erik Wheeland recorded a time of 12.61 seconds for the 100 meter dash.

Tyson Kotinek ran a 26.26 second heat in the 200 meter finals for eighth place.

Sawyer Cox had a heat of 27.47 seconds.

Devyn Zikmund nailed down first place in the 400 meter dash with his time of 54.45 seconds. Aidan Zikmund was in seventh place with his time of 1:00.25. Cody Funk had a time of 1:02.31.

Carter Griffis had a third place finish in the 110 meter hurdles with his time of 17.58 seconds.

The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Kotinek, Nolan Ostdiek, D. Zikmund and A. Zikmund listed a first place finish with their time of 3:51.92.

The 4 x 400 meter relay team recorded a time of 12:37.1 for a fourth place finish.

Cox was in seventh place in the shot put with his heave of 38’3.5”. Wheeland had a best toss of 30’7.5”. Nathan Pofahl; had a best effort of 23’1.5”

Cox listed a fourth place finish in the discus with his throw of 131’. Wheeland was in fifth place with his throw of 127’2.5”. Rocky Miller had a best effort of 84’2”.

Funk finished in sixth place in the high jump with his height of 4’10”.

D. Zikmund traveled 17’9.5” for a third place finish in the long jump. Kotinek covered 17’.75”. Funk hit the 16’6.5” mark.

Kotinek covered a combined distance of 37’ for third place in the triple jump. Griffis took fourth place with his distance of 26’7”.

The Raiders competed at the District D-7 meet Wednesday where they vied for berths at the state meet.
