RHHS track at Kaser Relays in Osborne

The Rock Hills High School boys and girls track and field teams competed at the Kaser Relays hosted by Osborne High School Friday.

The girls team finished in ninth place, with 23 points, in the 15 team field of Eli-Saline, Osborne, Thunder Ridge, Southern Valley, St. John’s, Tescott, Tipton Catholic, Southern Cloud, Palco, Lincoln, Lakeside, Sylvan-Lucas Lakeside, Natoma and Stockton.

The boys team was in third place with 46 points.

Bethany Simmelink earned the third place points in the girls 100 meter dash with her time of 13.9 seconds. Grace Ayers followed in fourth place with her time of 14 seconds.

B. Simmelink finished in fourth place in the 200 meter dash with her time of 29.5 seconds.

B. Simmelink was in fifth place for the 400 meter dash with her time of 1:08.1. Hannah Simmelink held sixth place with her time of 1:09.3.

H. Simmelink took seventh place in the 800 meter run with her time of 3:00.9.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Halle Mizner, Savannah Coil, B. Simmelink and Ayers held third place with their time of 55.5 seconds.

Faith Reinert had a best toss of 27’5.75” in the shot put.

Reinert had a best throw of 77’5” for the discus.

Carsyn Vizner hit the 73.6” mark in the javelin throw. Mizner had a throw of 59’10”. Reinert had a throw of 58’1”. Coil had a best throw of 47’3”.

Lauren Whelchel and Mizner tied for second place in the high jump with their height of 4’8”.

L. Whelchel won the pole vault with her bar clearing height of 7’5”.

Ayers held sixth place in the long jump with her leap of 13’9”. H. Simmelink listed a jump of 12’5”.

Coil recorded a combined distance of 27’7” for fifth place in the triple jump.

Camden Ward held fifth place in the boys 100 meter dash with his time of 12.5 seconds. Spencer Lindberg posted a time of 13.1 seconds. Eli Vance had a 13.2 second heat.

Isaiah Ridgeway had a time of 25.3 seconds to take fourth place in the 200 meter dash. Lindberg had a time of 26.9 seconds.

Kobi Bowers finished the 800 meter run in 2:23.9.

Bowers was in eighth place in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:10.4. Tristyn Reynolds had a time of 5:23.4 for the event.

Reynolds took the fifth place points in the 3200 meter run with her time of 11:45.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Ridgeway, Ward, Cooper McDill and Nate Meyers finished in third place with their time of 46.5 seconds.

Aaron Underwood recorded a best toss of 37’6” for the shot put. Vance had a toss of 31’2.25”.

Wyatt Evert was in seventh place in the discus with his throw of 111’1”. Underwood had a throw of 99’1”. Lindberg had a best throw of 70’3”.

Evert claimed sixth place in the javelin with his throw of 129’8”. Ridgeway had a throw of 95’3”. McDill registered a throw of 86’.

Ward held seventh place in the high jump with his effort of 5’2”.

Meyers picked up third place points in the long jump with his leap of 20’.5”.

McDill finished in fifth place with his 18’5.5” leap.

Ward had a combined distance of 33’9” for the triple jump.

The Grizzlies travel to Beloit Friday for the Beloit Relays. Rock Hills competes at the Tescott Invitational Tuesday.
