The Lawrence-Nelson boys and girls track and field teams competed at the Superior Invitational last Tuesday.
The girls team finished in sixth place, with four points, in the six team of Heartland Community, Sandy Creek, Hastings St. Cecilia, Thayer Central and Superior.
The boys team took fifth place with 35 points.
Jessica Sole finished in seventh place in the girls 1600 meter run with her time of 6:57.66.
Sole earned the fourth place points for her fourth place finish in the 3200 meter run with her time of 14:55.74.
Erik Wheeland ran the boys 100 meter dash in 121.55 seconds. Sawyer Cox listed a time of 13.2 seconds for the event.
Devyn Zikmund was in fourth place in the 200 meter dash with his time of 24.16 seconds. Tyson Kotinek ran a preliminary heat of 26.77 seconds.
Zikmund earned a fourth place finish in the 400 meter dash with his time of 53.63 seconds.
Cody Funk grabbed second place in the 3200 meter run with his time of 12:52.65.
Sawyer Cox had a best throw of 37’3” in the shot put. Wheeland had a best toss of 30’9”. Nathan Pofahl had a toss of 25’2.5”.
Cox was in third place in the discus with his throw of 120’7”. Wheeland held fourth place with his 117’6” effort. Rocky Miller had a best throw of 86’6”.
Zikmund landed fourth palce in the long jump with his leap of 18’6.5”. Kotinek had a leap of 17’2.5”. Funk had a best leap of 16’7”.
The Raiders travel to Franklin, Saturday, for the Twin Valley Conference meet.
