Michael Winston Flower, a devoted family man and a talented photographer, died April 14, 2023, at the age of 60 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on Aug. 5, 1962, in North Platte, Nebraska, to Winston and Kathleen (Gemar) Flower. Michael was a devoted husband to his wife of 35 years, Michelle (McKevitt) Flower, and a proud and loving father to their three daughters, Anastasia, Allison and Ashley Flower.
Michael was a 1980 graduate of Nelson High School and attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
Michael worked for Thermo-King Corporation and Ikon Solutions before taking time off to raise his daughters and start his own photography business.
Michael's passion for photography was evident in his work. He owned Parkside Imaging, where he specialized in capturing the perfect moments at weddings and quinceañeras. He was a true artist who had a gift for capturing the beauty of life through his lens.
Michael joined the First Baptist Church in Corpus Christi and gave his life to Christ. He was baptized on May 9, 1999.
As a Nebraska native, Michael was a dedicated Husker fan and enjoyed attending home games in Lincoln with his wife. Even after moving to Texas, he never missed watching or listening to a game.
Michael is survived by his wife, Michelle, and daughters Anastasia, Allison, and Ashley Flower; brother Patrick Flower and wife, Stacy; brother-in-law, Larry McKevitt and husband, Sergio; sister-in-laws, Barbara (McKevitt) Renken and husband, Travis, and Debbie McKevitt and fiancé, Preston Gehle; and nieces and nephews: Kayla McClintock and husband, Cameron, McKinley Flower, Cameron McKevitt, Mariah (Renken) Wendelin and husband, Jon, Tatum Renken and wife, Kayla, Tanner Renken and wife Ashley, Jasmine Thompson and fiancé, Tristan Stock, and Zachary Tippin.
Preceding him in death were Michael's parents, Winston and Kathleen Flower, and half-siblings David and Linda Flower.
There was no visitation.
A luncheon was served for the family prior to the service at the Salem Lutheran Church.
His funeral was held at 1:30 p.m., April 25, at the Salem Lutheran Church, Superior, Nebraska, with Pastor Ethan Feistner officiating.
Burial followed in the Nelson Cemetery, Nelson, Nebraska.
