Dust clouds have been mistaken for smoke.

Pastures are beginning to green in the area northwest of Superior where a wildfire, pushed by high winds burned many acres of crop residue and pasture land last fall. Grader ditches on the south side of the east-west roads are nearly full of fine dust blown into them from the surround fields. Large clouds of dust have closed Highway 36 several times since the fire. At times the dust clouds have been mistaken for smoke.
