Here lately, I’ve been dealing with the frustration of new glasses. My old glasses were terrible, and I couldn’t see my hands in front of my face, so off to the eye doctor I went. The doctor decided it was time for a bi-focal, which I have to admit, I was a little excited about. I’ve been wearing reading glasses over the top of my glasses for quite some time now.
So after having the bright lights flashed and getting air blown in my eyes, I sat in the chair for the endless, 1 or 2, 2 or 3, and so on. Upon completion of the exam, I had to go through 7,000 different frames in 10 minutes, and I hated them all. I then chose the least offensive frame; it’s hideous, I promise. I then paid my bill, went to my car and took some ibuprofen for the headache I had acquired.
Since my eye doctor is an hour and a half away, I paid a little extra to have the glasses and contacts shipped. It only took a week to get the contacts, but after two and a half weeks without seeing my glasses, I took the extra trip to see where they may have ended up. Thankfully, they were sitting in the office, and I could take them home. I was so excited to be able to see!
Unfortunately, I still can’t see the computer screen clearly. The glasses are great for distance, and the bi-focal is fantastic for reading. As far as anything straight in front of me, they are not so great. I expressed my concern to my doctor but haven’t heard back. I’m not really happy about that. I’m struggling with my contacts and reading glasses for now. These little plastic discs might be fabulous if it wasn’t for allergies and dry eyes.
My eyes are also super sensitive to sunlight and I am prone to migraines, so if you see me out and about with 15 pairs of glasses stuck in the mess of hair piled on top of my head, mind your business. I’m doing my best to get by and probably forgot they were up there. LOL! X’s & O’s!
