The Superior High School boys golf team competed at the 18-hole Red Cloud quadrangular match played over the Red Cloud Golf Club course last Tuesday.
Superior finished in second place, behind host Red Cloud, with a team score of 406. The four lowest individual scores are used to tabulate the team score. Other teams at the match were Blue Hill and Hastings High School.
Colten Butler led the varsity team with a round of 88, which was also the low individual round for the match. Ashton Grassman turned in a round of 98. Carsyn Koening recorded a round of 109. Cooper Ehlers posted a round of 111. Ayron Grassman was in with a round of 118.
The Superior junior varsity team sent two players out on the course. Kash Wenske carded a round of 114. Owen Perrie hit the clubhouse with a round of 126.
The Wildcats play at Red Cloud today (Thursday) over the Red Cloud Golf Club course in the Red Cloud Invitational. They will visit Clay Center, Tuesday, to play the Crooked Creek Country Club course at the Sandy Creek Invitational.
