28 L-N students compete at Actions Day

On March 15, 28 Lawrence-Nelson students attended Actions Day at Central Community College in Hastings. Students were nominated by the teaching staff to earn their spot in this academic competition. All students competed in three different academic areas of study. In total there were 40 different subject area tests. Other area schools attend this event.

Lawrence-Nelson had several students place in the top 10 including: Thomas Safago (12th grade) - first place - geometry, fourth place - constitution, and ninth place - American government; Rocky Miller (11th grade) - fifth place - vocabulary and sixth place - world history; Bailey Ceder (11th grade) - 10th place - genetics; Valentina Koehler (10th grade) - sixth place - accounting and eighth place - English 1; Erik Wheeland (12th grade) - eighth place - constitution; and Clay Williams (11th grade) - eighth place - world geography.
