The Jewell City Council met in regular session at City Hall. Those in attendance were Mayor Darrell Bohnert, and council members Josh Burks, Max Burks, Gaye Daniels, Derek Birdsell and Bob Freeman, and Kristie Anderson, city clerk.
Jewell County Sheriff Jacobs said the town did not have much activity this last month.
James Reed, code enforcement officer, was absent and no report was given.
Kristie Anderson presented the monthly clerk’s report. Anderson said she sent out letters for delinquent dog tags. She also gave an update on the community center and motel reservation for the month of March.
David Knappert presented the monthly maintenance report. Knappert the rear brakes on the International truck needed fixed. He told about the projects he is going to work on this month.
The Land Bank Board provided the minutes from their last meeting.
Mayor Bohnert said Jesse Williams will be pouring the concrete at Emerson Lake in a month or two.
Anderson mentioned picking a date for the Spring Cleanup Day. It was approved to have the Spring Cleanup Day on April 17.
Bohnert said the Jewell Grocery building was scheduled to be torn down starting Thursday, March 9.
