The Superior High School boys and girls wrestling teams will be well represented at the state wrestling tournament at the CHI Health Center Arena, Omaha, today (Thursday), Friday and Saturday.
Cheyenne Stacy, 115 pounds, and Carlie Hinz, 135 pounds, are the girls team qualifiers.
Three boys qualified through their efforts at the C-2 qualifying tournament at Norfolk Catholic High School, Norfolk, Friday and Saturday.
The Wildcats finished in 11th place, with 65.5 points, in the 18 team field.
Holden McDonald qualified with his fourth place finish in the 120 pound weight bracket. He earned 16 team points. Hayden Neeman makes his fourth appearance in four years at the state event. He placed first in the 132 pound weight bracket while earning 23.5 team points.
Kyler Boyles qualified in the 160 pound weight bracket with his fourth place finish. He earned the Wildcats team points.
Cole Rughe competed at 126 pounds. Colt Laaker competed at 138 pounds. Lincoln Sander wrestled at 145 pounds.
Aaron Allgood earned seven team points in the 152 pound weight bracket while barely missing out on a spot at state.
David Hodges competed at 170 pounds. Christian Osweiler wrestled at 220 pounds.
Henry Griljava earned four team points at the 285 pound mark but was unable to qualify.
The girls and boys open competition today (Thursday) at 3 p.m.
