L-N boys basketball
The Lawrence-Nelson High School boys basketball team added wins number 10 and 11 for the season when they manhandled the Harvard Cardinals at Nelson last Tuesday and downed the Superior Wildcats, 46-34 at Superior Friday.
Harvard was no match for the Raiders who cruised to their easiest win of the season. They led 33-13 at the half and never looked back.
Superior posed a tougher test for the Raiders. Lawrence-Nelson held a 23-17 lead at the half. They slowly eased ahead and walked off the court with their 11th win of the season to go with nine losses.
Tyson Kotinek topped the Raider scoring chart against Harvard with 14 points. Krayton Kucera dropped through 13 points. Keaton Mazour hit for 10 points. Clay Williams kicked in eight points. Will Dougherty added three points. Devyn Zikmund scored two points. Tyson Kotinek nabbed five rebounds. Mazour collected four rebounds. Erik Wheeland added three rebounds. Kucera and Williams each handled two rebounds.™ Dougherty, Carter Griffis, Toby Kotinek and Zikmund landed a rebound apiece.
Kucera dropped through 19 points against Superior. Williams contributed 10 points. Toby Kotinek accounted for eight points. Nolan Ostdiek provided five points. Zikmund scored three points. Connor Janda sank a free throw for one point. Williams pulled away 10 rebounds. Kucera hauled off eight rebounds. Toby Kotinek hit the boards for seven rebounds. Tyson Kotinek came through with four rebounds. Zikmund handled two rebounds. Janda, Keaton Mazour and Erik Wheeland nabbed a rebound each
The Raiders close out their regular season schedule with the Deshler Dragons at Nelson Friday. They will begin sub-district play Tuesday with site and opponent to be determined.
