As I was walking into the Lawrence post office yesterday, I saw a skein of geese flying overhead. To me, that says winter is almost over, and that is the best news ever! Today it is windy and chilly, and the weather liar says we are supposed to have flurries. Thankfully, it should be brief. The weekend forecast looks promising.
We got a kitten to keep our cat company a few weeks back. He is a holy terror. The good Lord knew what he was doing making babies cute, if you get what I’m saying. He chases our cat, Toothless, around the house 24/7. She sits and glares at me when he is not taunting her. It’s like she is saying, “What were you thinking!” Thankfully, he still naps a lot. If I feed him right before trying to work, he sleeps through most of it. His favorite place is on my shoulder or my lap. He likes to watch me type. What a weirdo.
I finally made it into Ace for paint samples. I think I have decided on a color for our bedroom furniture. It’s such a big decision! LOL! I like a dark blue color, it’s almost black, and I think it will go well in our room. Now if I could decide between gloss and semi-gloss and choose some drawer pulls, I could get started. I want to wait to get started once I have everything picked out and here. I will likely have them painted by 2025! I’m terrible about having several unfinished projects going at once, and I am trying my best to change that habit.
The last month has been a blur of doctor appointments for me. Forty-five brings with it a slew of tests. I feel like I’ve had a tune up, without the pleasure of a smoother idle. They kicked the tires, checked the oil and headlights, along with the front and rear end. So far I should be good for a few hundred thousand miles more. LOL!
Only 30 some days until spring, depending on when you read this. Things should start greening up soon, I’m so excited! Planting will begin soon, so be safe, and have a blessed season. X’s & O’s.
