Funds donated to Western Children Advocacy Center

The Jewell County Commissioners met Tuesday, Jan. 17. Commissioners Brent Beck, Keith Roe and Ed Duskie were present. Carla Waugh, county clerk, was present for the meeting.

Don Jacobs, sheriff, discussed the Western Children Advocacy Center fund raising projects. Commissioners approved a donation of $250 to the Western Children Advocacy Center.

Joel Elkins, general superintendent, discussed road and bridge maintenance. The commissioners reported road concerns. Elkins had documents for the KDOT bridge project in Limestone Township. The commissioners approved the signing of the Kansas Department of Transportation - Bureau of Local Projects, project programming request for bridge replacement 188 N. 7-10.0/NBI 000450715003323.
