Love my crazy life

Jacob made it safely to Texas and was surprisingly on time. He said he has been doing brain-numbing tasks and lots of PT while waiting for classes to start. Robert made it out to Pennsylvania and is headed back to the midwest as I type. I’m thankful it’s them and not me; I would be frustrated with all the “hurry up and wait” that goes on.

Our kitty, Toothless, named after the character in the movie “How to Train your Dragon,” was upset when the boys left after the holiday. She walked around the house, yowling every night for the first week. We had been toying with the idea of getting her a companion. We finally made up our minds last Monday and brought home a kitten, that we named Bob. Toothless has been less than pleased with having another cat in the house, but she is coming around. In fact, last night, she stayed in the same room with him for more than 30 seconds without hissing. LOL!

The “new to us” washer is leaking. I can’t win for losing. We had suspected we had a leak from day one, but after a couple of loads, I didn’t see any further evidence of such...until I did. George has it narrowed down to a couple of things. Hopefully, we will soon have a “new” washing machine. Until then, I will just continue to use it. It’s on concrete, so what’s it going hurt? At least we can buy parts for this one.

To get our health in check and the doc off our backs, we have started meal prepping on the weekends. I don’t know why I waited so long to do this! It’s made my life so much easier. Before, I would run out in a rush and starve if I forgot to pack something, and now all I have to do is grab a container on the way out. Another plus is that it decreased the kitchen mess during the week. X’s & O’s.
