The Lawrence-Nelson High School boys basketball team improved their season record to 3-1 with their wins Friday and Saturday.
The Raiders toppled the Franklin Flyers, 52-38, at Nelson, Friday. They edged the Bruning-Davenport-Shickley Eagles, 33-27, at Nelson, Saturday.
Krayton Kucera fired off 25 points to lead the Raider scoring charge against Franklin. Bayln Bargen tagged the basket for six points. Clay Williams donated five points to the cause. Nolan Ostdiek and Devyn Zikmund added four points each. Sawyer Cox, Tyson Kotinek and Erik Wheeland scored two points apiece. Ostdiek grappled away nine rebounds. Kucera grabbed five rebounds. Cox and Wheeland hung onto four rebounds each. Keaton Mazour nabbed three rebounds. Bargen and Toby Kotinek made off with two rebounds each. Connor Janda, Tyson Kotinek, Williams and Zikmund snagged a rebound each.
Kucera hit for 17 points to top the Raiders scoring chart against B-D-S. Ostdiek accounted for seven points. Williams chipped in four points. Cox hit for three points. Mazour dropped through two points. Ostdiek claimed the boards for 12 rebounds. Kucera and Williams landed four rebounds apiece. Janda landed two rebounds. Toby Kotinek and Zikmund snagged a rebound each.
The Raiders play host to Friend Friday at Nelson. Lawrence-Nelson travels to Shelton Tuesday for a game with the Bulldogs.
